Sure to be one of the most memorable collaborative releases of the year, Nike SB have paired with the internationally celebrated ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s to create a vibrant Nike SB Dunk that is bursting with character. Appropriately named the ‘Chunky Dunky’ as a spin off of the much loved flavour ‘Chunky Monkey’, a combination of prints feature across the skate focused design with faux cowhide borders housing the landscape print uppers, rainbow tie-dye piping along the top edge of the tongue and throughout the inside as a nod to the brands ‘hippy’ roots, in addition to decorative embroidery on the heel. Boasting a considerable amount of detail, bright lagoon pulse coloured leather has been selected for the toe vamp which is perforated to encourage ventilation and the famous grasslands landscape print used on Ben and Jerry’s packaging has been presented on the side panels and around the edge of the ankle collar. Held in place by a monochrome faux cowhide print border, three sets of laces arrive with each pair so you can customise the look of the shoe with a choice between white, yellow and green. The cowhide fabric continues across the top of the tongue which is edged with rainbow tie-dye piping and has a woven Nike SB label below its top edge with additional ‘Chunky Dunky’ lettering below. On the underside of the tongue another woven label presents the famous Ben & Jerry’s logo design above a quote by co-founder Jerry Greenfield reading ‘‘If It’s Not Fun, Why Do It?’. A defining feature of the design, a university gold coloured Swoosh tick sits on either side of the shoe and looks as though its melting with drips forming along its lower edge. On the back of the heel embroidery accentuates white printed clouds which complete the farming landscape across the uppers and above bold ‘Nike’ lettering has been printed in university gold against a curved black panel.

As far as performance goes, the Nike SB x Ben & Jerry's 'Chunky Dunky' Dunk Low Pro Shoes feature all the signature details that can be expected from any SB Dunk model, including padding at the tongue for all-day comfort, a Zoom Air unit within the tie-dye sockliner for responsive cushioning and a rubber cupsole stitch outsole with a circular tread pattern underneath that includes a forefront pivot point.
